Tommy Lee Jones was born in 1946 on 15 September to Lucille Marie and Clyde C. Jones. His mother was a school teacher, police officer and beauty shop owner. On the other hand, his father was an oil field worker. He was born in San Saba, Texas but raised in Midland, Texas. His parents married and divorced two times.
Jones joined Robert E. Lee High School. He migrated to Dallas and hence transferred to St. Mark’s School in Texas on scholarship. He graduated from there in 1965. Harvard later offered him a need-based scholarship. He also played football for the school’s team.
Tommy has married three times. He married Kate Lardner in 1971. She is the daughter of Ring Lardner Jr. who is a journalist and a screenwriter. The two divorced in 1978.
He went and remarried. He and Kimberlea Cloughley tied a knot. She is the of a former mayor of San Antonio by the name Phil Hardberger. The two were blessed with two children namely Austin Leonard and Victoria Kafka. The kids were born in 1982 and 1991, respectively.
