Rowan Atkinson was born on January 6, 1955, in Consett, County, Durham, England. He was born to Eric Atkinson, a farmer and company director and Ella May (née Bainbridge). He is the youngest of four brothers.
He received his education at the Durham Choristers School, St. Bees School, and Newcastle University. He graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. The pursued a Master’s degree in the Queen’s College in Oxford.
